T-SHIRT ORDERS- UPDATED 10/31/07  Order a Lakota East Gymnastics t-shirt to show team spirit! The shirts are great for parent and siblings to wear to meets to support their gymnastics team! They are only $7 each and are available in light pink and gray/black. All orders must be turned in by November 12, 2007. Each gymnast will be given a free Lakota East Gymnastics t-shirt. However, gymnasts need to turn in their size preferences on an order form by November 12.

SEASON STARTS NOVEMBER 5 - UPDATED 10/31/07  The Lakota East Gymnastics season starts November 5 at 3:15 pm!  Practices are Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday at 3:15-5:45 at Flip n Twist Gymnastics, and Thursdays at Lakota East at 5-8 (Thursday practice times vary occasionally). All practices are MANDATORY! If you must miss a practice or be late for a practice for ANY reason, please bring in a note.

BUSING TO PRACTICE - UPDATED 10/31/07  A bus is available to bring gymnasts from Lakota East and Lakota Freshman School to Flip n  Twist on Monday-Wednesday practices. The bus will leave from Lakota East at 2:30 pm. It will go to the Freshman School and then on to Flip n Twist. Gymnasts are REQUIRED to take the shuttle unless they drive the school or have a parent take them to practice.

LAKOTA EAST WINS DISTRICT CHAMPIONSHIPS! - UPDATED 3/19/07  The Lakota East Gymnastics team won the Southwest Ohio District Championships Saturday, qualifying the team to the State Championships on March 3. The Thunderhawks scored a 136.175 to edge out Miamisburg (135.375) for the title. Lakota East was lead by Phoebe Hart, who won all-around, bars, and floor, and placed 4^th on beam and vault. Hart qualified to states on all the events. Sarah Kachovec placed 4^th on floor, also earning her a state qualification. Kachovec, Hart, and freshman Codie Owens were all named to the All-District team. This is the first time the Lakota East gymnastics team qualified for the State Championships. State Championships will take place at Hilliard Darby High School. The team competition is on March 3, and the Individual competition is on March 4. The Lakota East gymnastics team consists of: Jessica Derickson, Amanda Eikens, Phoebe Hart, Rachel Hindle, Sarah Kachovec, Kira Krick, Brielle McIntosh, Ashley Northlich, Codie Owens, Dana Sand, Kirsten Weber. The team is coached by co-head coaches Mardi and Margi Sammons, and assistant coach Larissa Oberrecht.
