Video Montages are videos that animate
and time photographs to music. They can be used for a variety of events and
occasions. For example, many people use video montages during
Graduation parties: These videos typically show pictures of the
graduate from the time he or she was born to his or her senior year in
high school. These pictures are timed to the graduate's favorite songs or
songs that are appropriate for graduation.
Weddings:
Video montages are also popular at wedding receptions and rehearsal
dinners. Standard wedding video montages are divided into three sections.
First, the bride is showcased, and her pictures from birth until wedding
day are timed to music. Second, the groom's pictures are shown. Third, the
bride and groom are shown together.
Anniversaries: Video montages are also great for anniversaries. These
videos often contain pictures of the couple during their marriage.
However, they can also contain childhood pictures and pictures of friends
and family members that are significant to the couple.

Getting your Video Montage made is
easy! Just follow the following steps:
1. Determining the order of the photos. The order is
very important, as it will play a role in determining the song choice. For
example, a wedding video can be arranged in several ways.
Some customers divide the video into three segments: pictures
of the bride, pictures of the groom, and pictures of the bride and groom
together.
Some customers have decided to put pictures in groups: bride
and groom doing sports, bride and groom graduating, bride and groom in
college.
2. Selecting the photos. It is important that you
choose the right photos. Only you can determine which pictures have
significance. But here are some guidelines to helping you choose which ones
might or might not look good on video:
Avoid pictures that have a lot of damage. Photos with damage
typically do not look good on video. We can digitally correct damage to a
certain extent for an additional charge.
Use pictures with action. Pictures that show people doing
things (ie. Playing sports, singing in a concert, etc.)
Choose a good number of photos. The number of photos is
important because a video that is too long will lose the audience’s
attention. However, a video that is too short skips important moments in the
subject’s life. Be sure all age groups, relatives, friends, and significant
events are included, so that the video includes necessary and important
ages, people, and events.
3. Choosing songs. The song selection is also very
important because it sets the mood for the video. Here are some things to
consider when selecting the music:
Mood. Some videos or sections of the videos provide
opportunity for fun songs. For example, in graduation videos, some people
choose to do fun kid songs for the subject’s younger years. For other
videos, such as wedding videos and anniversary videos, it is oftentimes a
good idea to choose songs that are important or sentimental to the subjects.
For example, you might want to choose the couple’s favorite song.
Length. Typically, pictures should be up for around 6 or 7
seconds each (making it about 1 minute of song for every 10 pictures).
Therefore, you should coordinate the number of pictures with the approximate
length of the songs. Keep in mind, though, that FlipBox Productions can edit
music to make songs shorter or to combine songs.
